DNS, SSL, and activation

The dashboard groups provisioning into three stages:

1. DNS
2. SSL
3. Active

Backend status can distinguish:

• CNAME verification pending or complete.
• A-record verification pending or complete.
• SSL certificate generation in progress, complete, or failed.
• Domain activation successful or failed.

If DNS remains pending

• Confirm that the record name matches the hostname.
• Remove conflicting A, AAAA, or CNAME records.
• Confirm that the value exactly matches the Kuberns target.
• Allow time for your DNS provider's TTL and propagation.
• For root domains, confirm that the A record uses the current Elastic IP shown by Kuberns.

If SSL fails

Keep the DNS record pointed at Kuberns and retry the supported dashboard action. Certificate generation depends on successful public DNS validation.

Do not proxy or rewrite the record through another service while initial verification is pending unless Kuberns explicitly documents that configuration.
